Valheim death penalty. Upon death, the player will lose 5% of their total levels in each skill if the world is on the default death penalty. I do not get why you would make a setting and stop less than half way to what Death penalty is just too much I just fell of a roof trying for three in-game days to snap a damned dragon head ornament to my building and lost about one week of skill progress IRL. Especially when they are 60+ Valheim is a brutal exploration and survival game for solo play or 2-10 (Co-op PvE) players, set in a procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by viking culture. trueDoes anyone else feel extra upset about the loss of skill progression over having to retrieve your gear. Cause I really don’t mind the journeys to recover your items where you died but man the hit to the skills is heartbreaking at times. Might wanna stash a spare weapon (and some good food, mead) somewhere handy in case tree happens. You can make death softer or harder as desired by editing the config. Can someone please explain the "Hard" one? It says it drops equipped and deletes everything else. Not even half way cause you only keep the items you have in your hands at the time. So what if I have 2 weapons, would it delete the non-equipped one? Also, are "quest" items like antler exception to this rule?
